Eric Hunt has only one account here, he can use it any time he wishes.

He claimed he could not access his old account and that he was not allowed a new one. Why not go out of your way to make it easy for him and call his bluff (if bluff it is)? I can see nothing but advantage in facilitating his coming here to defend his new position. If he then chooses not to, at least we will know where we, and he, stand.

Personally I don't buy the "I can't access the account"-excuse. On the other hand I'd want him to be able to explain/defend his new position here. But it's the mods decision to grant him a new account.

The Eric Hunt account non-issue was fully explained here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10950&hilit=rolls&start=60
There was no software problem, his account is active, he knows his username & password, he can post whenever he wishes.
That's it.

That implies he posted a lot in 2016, but I think you're mistaken. He registered in 2009 (I'm looking at it right now) his last post was in Dec. 2015. Some of those 185 posts were 6-7 years ago. And I believe him when he says in that over-a-year period he lost access to that email account where he could retrieve his password. He then wasn't allowed to make a new forum account and say "this is me Eric Hunt." Due to impersonation issues that have already been explained on this forum.

CCS:
Recently Eric actually made two additional accounts, so the 'wasn't allowed' doesn't wash, which gave him a total of three accounts. A no no here.
And during that recent dust-up I gave him all the vitals of his first account to refresh his memory. There is no plausible excuse.
He can post here at any time.
Thanks, M1

Hi Moderator 1,

Thanks for responding. If the vitals of his first account you gave him, to refresh his memory, included his password, then I agree it's a non-issue and think the forum handled it properly and graciously. He could then post here if he wants. Thanks for clarifying.

Thank you. I was not aware, until this post, that you had given him a password for his original account. I had been under the impression that he could not access it by the usual password retrieval procedure because he no longer had access to nor remembered the address of that account. If he now has a password and full access, you have already done what I was suggesting.

Eric saw this thread and emailed me and said he was never given the password so that he could post here. I sent mod1 a message with his email address.

I don't know if he will post here if he can, but I know that right now he can't. He's a bit mad about people discussing him here and meanwhile he can't respond.

Moderator approved comments status: a status where mod reads comments before they show up on the forum, would probably be fine.

Well, Eric Hunt is not being truthful.
I hope no one is surprised at what the new Eric Hunt has become after being forced to surrender.
His username is Eric Hunt, which he knows, and if he claims to have somehow 'forgotten' his password he can create a new one, immediately, on the spot after entering his username. He has no excuse anyway you look at it. His account is open, he can definitely respond / post here anytime he wishes.
Enough of this nonsense.

Well if he can see the thread, then he can see this:

Hello Eric. You're good at making videos. Why don't you make another one and put it up on questioningtheholocaust.com? Follow every piece of advice Hannover or the Moderator has written on here that would enable you to log back on. Make a video of you trying to log in with your username and failing miserably. That will show who is lying. You or Moderator.

If he did that, would the new password go to his email address I just sent you?

I find it really doubtful that the Moderator would lie. Just from a common sense stance- this forum would explode in popularity with Eric Hunt posting in here, and people coming on to debate and question him. There is absolutely nothing for the administration to gain by blocking Eric. Controversy brings clicks.

Thank you Darkshine, Eric Hunt will be treated like everyone else.

For others, recall what our Webmaster posted earlier:
We cannot see the passwords as they are salted and hashed. The real Eric Hunt would have access to his password and I can confirm that his account is active and ready for use whenever he decides to use it. If Eric forgot the password he can use the "I forgot my password" feature to retrieve it. It works fine.
Webmaster

Again, I said:
and if he claims to have somehow 'forgotten' his password he can create a new one, immediately, on the spot after entering his username.

So there it is. All Eric needs to do is enter his username,'forgot my password'. and bingo.

Ok. Thanks Mod1 for explaining about that "salted and hashed" part, I see it isn't possible to send his password to his new email. But Eric can't post here because not only did he forget his codoh password, but also forgot his password to the email he used when he created the account. And he's made that clear from the beginning, when he did what any public figure would do in that situation: make a new account and say "this is me." I really feel that should have been allowed. The "can't have multiple accounts" rule doesn't make sense here. You'll never see him accessing the old account since he can't. The spirit of the "no multiple accounts" rule is because multiple accounts owned by one person can be used for subterfuge; and because it can create confusion, and also because someone could impersonate him. But none of that applied here. I won't post on this issue anymore but I think Eric got a raw deal. He went to jail for our cause.

CCS:
[Hunt] also forgot his password to the email he used when he created the account ...

If Hunt really forgot his password to his email he can / could have simply requested another password from his email service.
That is how all email services work.
Generally it takes about 5-10 seconds.

If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

I'm sorry to be so negative but isn't all this a little childish and very boring?

Even if Eric comes back here and says his thing what will it prove? He'll say what he's already said, but hopefully in very much fewer words and we'll all criticise his words as silly. Where does that get us all?

Any debate is, IMO, a waste of space and time because they reveal nothing and no one changes their spots.

I appreciate his change of direction and respectfully think it's a load of old tosh, but I respect his right to express his opinion. He's done that and most of us here don't agree so why don't we let sleeping dogs lie...
