Re: Shrunken Heads Buchenwald

A document concerning the shrunken heads of Buchenwald was recently brought to my attention.Unfortunately learning German is still on my not so short list of things to do so I can't make heads or tails out of it. It is apparent that even some of the SS thought that these kinds of things are going to...

Re: Alleged Photos from the Reinhardt Camps and Chelmno

After spending some time browsing the Yad Vashem photo archives it's clear that the accuracy with which they caption photos leaves something to be desired but I just thought I'd share this. Maybe I need to review my notes but I don't remember any testimony about such a large furnace, or seeing it on...

Re: Question about Hoess Memoir

I read Commandant of Auschwitz a couple of years ago, unfortunately I lost my notes on it but of the many passages that struck me as odd, one in particular stands out: In these pages, and also in my sketches of the leading personalities concerned, I have sufficiently explained how the horrors of the...

Re: Belzec Survivor Braha Rauffmann

It is not clear from the interview that she, indeed, was within the infamous camp, even for a short time. Belzec is (and was during WW II) a middle-sized town, where even long-range trains stop. As far as I understand, she and her mother were living in the town. As she obviously survived the war, s...

Re: Survivor's story circa 1964

Did i miss something ? This survivor never said that he was selected at treblinka to work in the camp, but that those who were selected were immidiatly reloaded and sent to Majdanek. Apparently sometimes they were also sent from Treblinka to Majdanek to Ebensee. What is the problem with that? the G...
