Re: Moderator Question: Any other subjects that you want a forum to discuss / debate?

I sometimes think that CODOH gives too much prominence to the Holocaust in its own name. It could be renamed the Committee for Open Debate on History if it is to expand its areas of discussion, whilst retaining the holocaust as a key field. The main area of expertise of most participants is history,...

Re: On the recent purges by big tech media companies

The following report by a pro-censorship campaigning organisation in the UK may provide some amusement: https://antisemitism.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Holocaust-Denial-October-2020.pdf They begin by describing "holocaust denial": Holocaust Denial, the act of denying the Nazi genoci...

Re: Lusatians / Sorbs in the Alleged "Holocaust"

There is a description of the Sorbs in Victor Klemperer's famous diary (volume 2). He and his wife fled into the countryside to stay with them in the aftermath of the bombing of Dresden in February 1945. They spoke a Slavic language, but as a German speaker he could communicate with them. He present...

Re: Hitler/Himmler Meeting, December 18 1941 // Decision to Exterminate Jews

The handwritten note looks more like "Jewish question -- exterminated as partisans" (i.e, "ausgerotten" - past tense) to me. The "g" in Judenfrage" looks like the fourth letter of "ausgerotten" (though without the initial top loop). On second thoughts, &q...

Re: An ironic consideration from Nolte's "The Past that will not pass away"

Ernst Nolte expressed some sympathy for Germar Rudolf, at least in private, late in life. I don't have the source, but I recall him saying something along the lines that revisionism would change our understanding of history if it turned out to be correct. His early work on fascism ( Three Faces of F...

Nuremberg Trial Speeches

A good deal of material from the International Military Tribunal of 1945/46 in the form of speeches - many of interest here - are being put onto youtube on the Robert Jackson Center account. These include speeches on the German chain of command, evidence, concentration camps, the persecution of the ...

Google video on combating revisionism from October 2020

The following excerpt from a longer video on misinformation explains how Google has redesigned its algorhythm to combat holocaust revisionism. The main method is to focus on "authoritative" sources that confirm what its employees learned in school: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_ThBF6ca...

Re: Early postwar usage of the h word (holocaust)

My recollection is that the phrase "nuclear holocaust" was commonly used to refer to the result of a nuclear war between the USA and the Soviet Union in the 1960s when the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament was active in the West. You can see from the following Google Ngram of the comparativ...

Re: was the internment of Jews "legal"?

Who had the authority to decide what the law was for the occupied territories? I'm not a lawyer, but they would perhaps be under martial law and then returned to civilian jurisdiction when the security situation permitted. Those appointed by Hitler (Hans Frank, Alfred Rosenberg) would have wide pow...

Re: was the internment of Jews "legal"?

..... "Legal" means it is permitted by law. Hitler was der Führer, the leader of the Third Reich, so he made the policy decisions. It was legal if he said so. I can't imagine that anyone could call his actions "Illegal" even if they disagree with them on moral grounds. That woul...

Re: Moderator question: Are we getting too far away from our stated topic?

There has been a tendency over the last couple of years to find a "holocaust" angle to current news stories on this Forum. It might be best to rein back on that a bit. Perhaps it is a sign that there is a need to find new fields of research, rather than poring over the minutiae of evidence...

Albert Pierrepoint - Execution of Nazi War Criminals

This film about British executioner Albert Pierrepoint was recommended to me recently on Youtube. A non-revisionist Fred Leuchter, you might call him. He is playted by the same actor who played David Irving in Denial . There doesn't seem to be any reference to it on this site: https://www.youtube.co...
