Re: Caroline Sturdy Colls Treblinka TV documentary
I'm no forensic archaeologist but to the lay-person's eye Ms Sturdy-Colls's protocols and techniques did seem "questionable". Happily, only the other day, the BBC broadcast a programme in which excavation of a site in search of bone remains was a key feature. Compare and contrast as they s...

Re: gas out of shower heads
Sturdy-Colls was visiting a restored homicidal gas chamber to gain an idea of how the Treblinka version might have looked. The programme's producer/editor decided that a shot of a couple of gas cylinders, followed by shower-heads and pipes complete with connecting pipes and valves would be effective...

Re: gas out of shower heads
The recent Sturdy-Colls tv documentary, about the excavation of Treblinka, shows footage of a restored gas chamber equipped with shower-heads and exposed pipes, to very strongly imply that these were part of the gassing infrastructure.

Re: Caroline Sturdy Colls Treblinka TV documentary
There was a surprising lack of pre-publicity for this programme. I'd venture that the backers realized that the evidence was extremely underwhelming.

Re: Most revisionist mainstream article to date
Presentation is important - Jewish culture has spent the better part of two thousand years honing the art of putting forward a persuasive case - so I do wish that contributors would desist from using words such as crap, junk and holohoax. To a third party these immediately detract from the validity ...

Re: Cremating bodies on rails
Thanks to shows such as CSI the general public is very familiar with the concept of forensic science solving crimes via tiny traces of evidence. In fact Hollywood has been so successful in creating a CSI myth many law enforcement and prosecuting professionals despair at the widespread-held belief th...

Re: Sources for outdoor incinerations and fuel consumption
The United States' Department of Agriculture publishes guidance on procedures for the incineration of livestock carcasses and very helpfully provides information about how much fuel will be needed. http://www.aphis.usda.gov/emergency_response/tools/on-site/htdocs/images/nahems_disposal.pdf Go to pag...

Re: Mengele denied performing ghastly experiments on anybody
I understand that data from the cold water experiments has been used in later research into the development of survival suits. That would seem to indicate that the Germans did use prisoners as guineapigs.

Re: Train crash site:Dresden,Ohio 1912 ?
The workers in the corpse burning photo are in shirt sleeve order. The rail accident occured in the middle of an Ohio winter and it looks as though there is snow on the ground. The two do not tally.

Re: Caroline Colls, local girl makes good
Ms Sturdy-Colls's doctoral thesis has now been deposited with the University of Birmingham's library. Sadly saccess to this ground breaking (pun intended) research is restricted until June 2017. Which is odd since she was happy for it be publicised in the media. Perhaps she would care to explain why...

Re: Caroline Colls, local girl makes good
Ms Sturdy Colls PhD thesis is now listed on the University of Birmingham's library database. Access is restricted until June 2017.
I would love to know why that should be. Perhaps we should ask her?

If you are looking for this kind of material I'd suggest contacting a railroad enthusiasts club in the area.
They will know if photographs exist.

Re: Caroline Colls, local girl makes good
Some board members may recall a news story from a few months ago in which the fusilage of a WW2 RAF fighter had been discovered in the Egyptian desert. Well subsequent to that a team was dispatched to try and recover the pilot's remains. One would thought that after 70 years, in the harsh desert env...

Re: Caroline Colls, local girl makes good
Mrs Sturdy Colls is using the academic title doctor, so she must have been awarded her PhD. Perhaps someone should contact the awarding institution (The University of Birmingham) to find-out why her thesis is neither listed in the their library's catalog nor available on-line. In very exceptional ci...
