Open letter to David, re: "STANDARDS"

Postby holographic » 1 decade 5 years ago (Wed Jun 30, 2004 5:04 pm)

Hello David, you requested that I hold myself to higher standards regarding Ernst Zundels incarceration and the veracity of those claims.
You seem to feel that a word of mouth, and hand a hand written recounting of those events is sub-standard. I feel your pain...

Upon providing you with Mr. Zundels current address you in turn suggest that I write Simon Weisenthal, fair enough.

"Dear Mr. Weisenthal,

In the wake of the extensive denunciation of Stalin's crimes throughout what was once called the Soviet bloc, it is a moral outrage that not a SINGLE Stalinist secret police functionary, concentration camp commander, torturer, or executioner has been placed on trial for Stalinist crimes. To this day, former Nazi war criminals are still being punished for their crimes against humanity. In one notorious case, some of the executioners of the 15,000 Polish officers in Katyn and elsewhere have been identified as living in the former Soviet Union on state pensions.

I ask you Mr. Weisenthal, with all due respect; if not now, when?

Though the precise figures for Stalin's death toll will never be available, it is unlikely that the range of 20-25,000,000 victims is an exaggeration.

Again, I ask you; if not now, when?"

Ponder this scenario for me David, I hope to at least make you laugh!

You write Ernst Zundel a letter asking him to document his current living conditions, and he in turn responds. You're really compelled to believe it's Ernst that wrote you back - but is it really him? Has to be - who would POSE AS A HOLOCAUST DENIER??? That's vile!!!!!!!

But with "standards" as high as your's, you're left stuck between a rock and a hard place, or at least between a Holocaust Museum and a Weisenthal Centre. Just because you write Ernst and he in turn graciously responds doesn't mean it's really him or that he is telling the truth.
That of course entails a conspiracy within a conspiracy.

You of course could in turn deny that you ever received a letter from Ernst Zundel, and no one would arrest you for it. Or would they?
You could be the first man arrested for denying Holocaust deniers - a double threat comrade!!!!!!!

You don't think Simon Weisenthal would plead a racial bias do you?

And what crimes would these be?

If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

Hannover, I should have said "alleged" war crimes. I hope you understand.

I purposely misspell Wiesenthal as WEisenthal, trite perhaps, no harm intended.

I also prefer to spell Elie Wiesel as Elie Lieswell :D

Good post.

It's ironic that in USA, Fred Phelps (well, do a search on him if you don't know who he is...) goes around spreading "hatred" and that's not considered hateful, but someone like Zundel is treated as a criminal and denied his basic rights........
