Terror bombings (tangent on-topic)

Postby Juan » 1 decade 5 years ago (Thu Jul 08, 2004 6:10 pm)

Guernica:

Red Reps said, 1.700 killed, Condor legion terror ("strategic") bombing

Irving says, app 90 dead, Condor legion tactic bombing

Mattogno says, no aerial bombing.

Rotterdam:

Don't know the revisionist version.

Standard version for this SNAFU was 30.000 civilian deaths.

What really happened?

These "nazi terror bombings" including Warsaw and Guernica, are an integral part of the allied atrocity propaganda. I think they are relevant to a point, to the subject of the forum.

Sorry if the mods think is too off the mark.

Rotterdam was about 600 dead, mostly from fires which the Dutch fire brigades did not put out because they had been evacuated. The Luftwaffe was able to recall most of the bombers before it was too late because the Dutch Colonel Scharoo had finally given a (somewhat equivocal) surrender of the city to German forces. Since Guernica, Warsaw and Rotterdam were in direct support of ground troops they were tactical bombings, similiar to artillery attacks; same with the bombing of Belgrade, Leningrad and Stalingrad.

:D

I need a source (to give it credibility at a discussion), thanks for your answer.
