'White' rather seems to be a negative, lesser-than, degrading term.
B.

Because someone brought this term up and after that it was picked up by academia and media.

Some people didn't like the former terms.

Update: They fired him again.

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/education/article246894309.html

The school board had voted 4-3 to rehire him just a few weeks ago. Now they've voted unanimously to oust him for the second time.

Latson’s rehiring decision was met with backlash, including from the Florida Department of Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran, who requested the cancellation of Latson’s professional educator certificate.

Palm Beach County School Board Chairman Frank Barbieri then called for another vote because he said School Board members might not have realized that the judge’s ruling was a recommendation, the Sun Sentinel reported.

The decision drew more than 1,000 voicemails of public comments last week on whether Latson should be hired or fired. There were so many comments, the School Board had to postpone the vote for Monday.

Probably a coordinated campaign. Often these "concerned parents" are professional activists.

Corcoran is a Republican, appointed by pro-Zionist Governor Ron DeSantis.

"Concerned parents" & more than 1,000 voicemails of (((public))) comments.
Probably had something to do with it.

Latson needs our support. Even though he tried to grovel and apologize, it didn't work. He was rehired and then they fired him again. What does he have to lose?

Perhaps Black Lives Matter / BLM will come to his assistance.

The reality is that they know who butters their bread.

Seriously? That's your response?
Obviously "someone brought this term up and after that it was picked up by academia and media."
The question is why and for what purpose?
The answer is that it's a way of denigrating the racial / ethnic background of Europeans & the European diaspora.
IOW, racism.

I was looking around for info on who initiated this whole thing to begin with. The articles from last year simply say it was an unnamed mother. I still don't think the name has been released. But I did find the original emails.

https://www.jta.org/quick-reads/florida-high-school-principal-says-he-cannot-take-a-position-on-the-holocaust
https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6183914-Spanish-River-Principal-Email-1.html

The mother's email:
Dear Mr. Latson,

Our [redacted]. It has been a great year for [redacted] and we are happy at Spanish River.

We are writing to discuss the Florida Mandate to include Holocaust Education each year in the students' curriculum.

We are aware that there was a speaker one night at school this year, and that there is a Holocaust studies class offered, however, these offerings are attended by the minority of students and are optional. We would like to know in what ways/classes is Holocaust education provided to all of the students?

So this "concerned mother" is writing not on behalf of her own kid (who is free to participate voluntarily) but rather is writing because she's upset that other people's kids were not forced to go the Holocaust assembly or take an entire class on the Holocaust. Again, I doubt this is just some random mom. Jewish groups must tell people to send out these kinds of messages as a way of enforcing compliance with the state Holocaust education laws. Their top concern seems to be making sure the indoctrination is 100% mandatory and that schools are actually doing it.

Latson's response:
I response to your email and your concerns, you will not have those concerns at Spanish River in regards to not dealing with anti?Semitic behaviors. As far as holocaust studies and the curriculum it can be dealt with in a variety of ways. The curriculum is to be introduced but not forced upon individuals as we all have the same rights but not all the same beliefs. Each year we do a holocaust assembly and we target the 10th graders so every year that group will get a days work with the holocaust. We advertise it to the 10th grade parents as their are some who do not want their children to participate and we have to allow them the ability to decline. By doing it in that grade level, every students will get the opportunity before they graduate.

The courses are offered and as most of our courses, they are optional. The topic is covered in the various social science courses that it aligns with. Human Geography and any other AP course is not governed by the Florida Department of Education as far as content because they are college courses owned by College Board.

We have a variety of activities for students and parents each year during and after school to provide anyone the ability to attend._The District's Social Science and Holocaust Studies Program Planner_works closely with us to provide opportunities for the Boca Raton community as we have been the school they work through because of our continued focus and work in the area. We have a close tie with Temple Beth El and use Rabbi Levin as my consultant to guide me in the area and what is acceptable and not. Again we do a very good job at providing education in the area for our students and not accepting certain behaviors or not addressing the behaviors. Thank you

Again, the key thing the Jews are worried about here is making sure this stuff is absolutely mandatory. They send out these sorts of feelers to gauge compliance and Latson failed the test rather spectacularly. Not only did he say it shouldn't be "forced," he even implied it was okay to have different "beliefs" on the issue. And it couldn't have helped that he didn't reverentially capitalize "Holocaust."

The first response above alarmed the Jewish activist enough to ask for "clarification." The follow-ups were then what really got Latson in trouble.

Monika Schaefer emails Spanish River High School over Principal Latson's firing

Postby Lamprecht » 1 month 3 weeks ago (Sun Jan 10, 2021 5:56 pm)

It appears that Monika Schaefer has sent an email to the high school that fired Latson. CODOH was mentioned in the email.
Spanish River High School Staff Sent Anti-Holocaust Email

January 9, 2021

Woman, Alleged High Profile Holocaust Denier, Seeks Reinstatement Of William Latson.

Teacher Email List Is Online.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Just months after the firing of ex-Spanish River High School Principal William Latson was finalized, the school staff is receiving an anti-Holocaust email from a known Holocaust denier.

Latson, as reported internationally, induced outrage when he refused — in 2019 — to affirm the Holocaust’s existence in an email to a parent.

Spanish River High School staff members are reaching out to BocaNewsNow.com on Saturday to say they have received an email from a woman claiming to be Monika Schaefer, a Canadian woman who is a known Holocaust denier. She was arrested on “incitement to hatred” charges in Germany back in 2018. She runs the “Truth and Justice for Germans Society.”

You can read the CBC’s coverage here.

Schaefer presumably obtained the email list through this link — it’s public and available to all under Florida law. Here is the text of the email sent to Spanish River High School staffers which BocaNewsNow.com is publishing only to provide context to the outrage being shared by teachers at the school.

To School Board and Faculty, Spanish River High, Florida,

They say that TRUTH is the first casualty in war. Wars have often been triggered and fought on the basis of deceptions. It is, therefore, not unreasonable to expect that the history books about those wars also contain some truths, some half-truths and some lies and deceptions. Victors write the history books. Even the grade school teachers talk about that from time to time. When they tell us that the victors write the history books, they are not just talking about the choice of font with which they write the story.

We, at the Truth and Justice for Germans Society, are appalled about the case of William Latson having been terminated from his job as school principal, simply because he could not confirm the holocaust story. It must be noted that he did not deny it either. Apparently, for the Jewish community, this neutral stance is a serious enough crime to have this school principal fired.

What other event in history is so untouchable, that even a neutral stance on it will have a teacher dismissed for saying they cannot confirm that it happened? There is none. Why is this holocaust story so sacrosanct that there cannot be any discussion, debate, questioning, and now there cannot even be a noncommittal answer to the question?

For your edification, let us just examine one aspect of the official story, to put this story into perspective.

At Auschwitz, the main “extermination” camp according to the official narrative, there was a plaque which said 4 million died at the hands of the “NAZI MURDERERS” between 1940 and 1945.

That plaque was later replaced with this one, which lowered the number significantly.

Just as the 4 million figure was made up, the 1.5 million figure was also made up. According to the records the approximate number that died was 100,000, more Roman Catholics than Jews. Contrary to the popular story that the “Nazis” destroyed written records, that is not true. The Soviets seized the “Death Books” from Auschwitz at the end of the war, and these were released 45 years later following glasnost. Detailed records were kept for every prisoner that died, including Doctor-signed death certificates.

Let us look at the records for another of the “notorious” concentration camps. Here are the numbers, down-graded over time, for Majdanek.

Despite the changes to the official numbers killed at Auschwitz and Majdanek, amounting to a reduction of 2.5 + 1.9 = 4.4 million, the 6 million figure for the number of Jewish victims has not budged.

The changing numbers and mathematical impossibilities constitutes just one aspect of the problematic nature of the holocaust story. The official narrative is also not backed up by the physical, chemical, topographical, architectural and documentary evidence. I encourage you to visit codoh.com or holocaustdeprogrammingcourse.com for more information.

Even if none of you individually wish to further educate yourselves on this topic, please consider the fact that when a teacher or principal of a school says that they cannot confirm a historical narrative, that leaves space for the student to think for themselves, to pursue information and seek answers on their own.

Here are some ideas for the curriculum: they could be taught that the “holocaust” is a controversial topic, and that many people have gone to jail for questioning the official narrative. They could be taught that evidence is illegal[see this article for example] in some “holocaust trials”. They could be taught that the numbers of “holocaust survivors” keep going up instead of down as might be expected over time. They could be taught about methods of social control, such as Ritual Defamation, which is applied to anyone who does not go along with “political correctness”, on this topic and many other topics too.

We should be encouraging students to engage in the thoughtful pursuit of knowledge, instead of spoon-feeding or force-feeding them one single narrative – no discussion and no debate allowed – forever more.

Do not bow to the pressure of lobby groups. Please do the right thing and reinstate William Latson into his position, with full backpay and compensation for damages.

Sincerely,

Monika Schaefer
President of the Truth and Justice for Germans Society
