NS Vernichtungslager by Rückerl-what is it?

Postby Carto's Cutlass Supreme » 1 decade 5 years ago (Thu Jan 13, 2005 4:46 pm)

Saw a reference to this in Hilburglar, I mean Hilberg. Who was Rückerl? What is this book? The library didn't have it. Did a search on revforum but didn't get much.
--thanks

Vernichtungslager is a German translation of the English "Extermination Camp," which was not a term the Germans themselves used during the war.

Adalbert Rückel was a lawyer, I think, who cherrypicked testimony, especially from West German Nazi trials in the 1960s, which is used as gospel in secondary sources like Yitzhak Arad and Eugen Kogon, etc.

Mostly these books with culled primary source evidence have not been translated into English and are out of print and hard to find except as costly rare books. This one was selling on Amazon for over a hundred dollars one time that I checked. It looks like it is about $60 now.

For some reason it is supposed to be more believable if "perpetrators" tell about the Holocaust stories (usually short on concrete details) when they are turning states' evidence or begging for mercy. For such enormous criminal accusations they usually get lenient sentences, too. Fuchs got five years. Franz got life but was released in five years for good behavior, if I remember correctly. Stangl got a death sentence or maybe this was life, but in any case this was appealed and he died shortly thereafter.

Anyway, I don't think Rückel has mostly been translated into English and these statements really ought to be checked by German speakers who are skilled and researching primary German legal documents and looked at in their entirety.

I have tried to get original documents myself from perpetrators and witnesees like Höß, Nyiszli, Gerstein, etc., mostly from the National Archives, but it is a slow process. Revisionists really should have all these scanned and online.

What jumps out here is the fact that the Believers have failed to make the full text of these so called 'incriminating testimonies' available for all to see, you would think they would want everyone to see every detail. But no, they are obviously shielding them from scrutiny.

The fact of the matter is these materials:

- do not support the claims made about them

- reveal technical and scientific absurdities which were not challenged

- show the lack of cross examination / crucial questions were not asked and were in fact discouraged by the hysteria gripped proceedings

Thanks Scott! Once again I'm amazed with your impressive knowledge!

It's strange how when you get to the backbone of the holocaust scholarship, you find some weird stuff, and you go where very few people seem to go. I clicked on "Nazi Mass Murder: A Documentary History of the Use of Poison Gas" and saw that it had been cited by most all the current holocaust books that are popular. Yet there on the Amazon website was written "be the first to review this book!" In other words no one has ever written an Amazon review of it.

And what it might really take is to see who Ruckerl then cites as a source. And suddenly you have some really unobtainable document, and were you to miraculously obtain it, you would have some testimony about a guy scooping up the fat under burning bodies to be made into soap or something, as he looks up to see a Nazi guard picking out 4 women to sleep with for the evening.

Yes, on Nizkor they were citing the affidavits of British POWs Nitton and Weely as "convergence of evidence" supporting Zygmunt Maser's Human Soap stories. But the only thing available was a kitchen recipe for homemade soap picked up by the Soviets and submitted to the IMT. Well, I actually sent for those documents and they are now online (also available at this site). That they support Mazur's stories is a VERY charitable conclusion. Actually, the former British POWs said that Mazur treated them well while they were all working for the Germans at the Danzig Anatomical Institute and they saw some things consistent with preparing cadavers for anatomical exhibits in medical schools.

Much of the stuff cited by Rückerl from West German trials is very hard to get, unlike warcrimes trials held by the Allies after the war, most of which is in the National Archives, including Gerstein's statements, which were never actually used except for his stolen invoices.

A DVD with the original recordings of the Frankfurt trial came out recently. I don't own it, but here is the link:
http://www.digitale-bibliothek.de/scrip ... nd4101.htm

This is the trial where several people got life sentences for the gassings at the Auschwitz I camp, whereas today even Jewish sources say there were no gassings at that camp.

Adalbert Rückerl, Ph.D. (law), was chief prosecutor and director of the Zentralstelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen, Ludwigsburg, Germany, and the author of works on the extermination centers. He had an honorary degree from the University of Stuttgart. He died in 1986.

I don't hold this DVD for anything. To my knowledge of German language this sentence means:
Ausgewähltes Quellenmaterial

= Selected source material. Who has selected it? :D

This is getting interesting.

"Selected source material" --I know. That's bogus. But it could work for the revisionists' advantage, because it perhaps means a very outrageous story was completely believed, and that's there on tape.

DVD's are known for having multiple languages. I wonder if there's English on it.

Do you mean Dachau? because Jewish sources claim there were gassings at Auschwitz.

Jemand: it would be great if you could ever find this Vernichtungslager book, and tell us what it's like. If you ever looked in a big library and asked the librarian, you could pretend you're a holocaust scholar, rather than a revisionist!

Oh. I see. You mean Auschwitz #1. I would edit the post above this, but the edit button is not there, eventhough I'm logged in.

'holocau$t scholars' are all pretending to be scholars. In fact it's an oxymoron.

Good point Hannover!:)

By the way, here is the original reason I asked about Rückerl. I was reading the most respected holocaust scholar, Raul Hilberg, and his book, The Destruction of the European Jews. And looked up all the Treblinka passages, because I had a question "would Hilberg use Yankel Weirnik as a source?" I know Weirnik is a fraud because if you read him for 5 minutes, it's obvious. So sure enough Hilberg prominently uses Weirnik. So on the next page I see that Hilberg is making a claim that the Nazis at Sobibor would throw babies. Like a football or baseball. So I thought "hmm, what's his source?" and it was Rückerl. But it's in German, and it's apparently obscure, (so I've learned from this thread.) But I just wonder if it's part of a work that's as ridiculous as Wernik.
Here's Raul Hilberg in Destruction of The European Jews. Pg. 970 in the 3 volume edition.
At Sobibor, where trucks picked up the aged and the infants, guards would occasionally try to toss the babies from a considerable distance into the vehicle.

CCS:
Have seen the threads here which utterly demolish Hilberg? Have you read 'Giant With Feet of Clay' by Jurgen Graf? ... a serious mauling of fruitcake Hilberg.

Hi Hannover,

Thanks for mentioning them. I know of that book but haven't read it. I wonder if Graf mentions Yankel Wernik.

I have a copy of Adalbert Rückerl NS-Vernichtungslager.

Are you sure about the page numbers? The camp Sobibor is dealt with on pages 145 to 196, not 14-41.

I scanned all pages quickly but could not find anything about babies thrown into vehicles. When I have some more time I will check once more carefully.
