It is amazing to see how much progress in the study of the holocau$t has been made,
even in non-revisionist circles.
Maybe in the future the people that are seeking just plain justice in the Middle East
will wake up and see the scam for what it is.
Amazon.com got the message quickly enough. The site had been categorizing the new edition of Night under "fiction and literature" but, under the categorical imperative of Kakutani's "memory as a sacred act" or a phone call from Wiesel's publisher, hastily switched it to "biography and memoir". Within hours it had reached number 3 on Amazon's bestseller list. That same evening, January 17, Night topped both the "biography" and "fiction" bestseller lists on BarnesandNoble.com.
It's geting hilarious.
A very interesting article from a believer that demolishes 'Elie the Weasel'.
Better to note the article url, for future easy reference:
Among Alexander Cockburn's many interesting comments, this small item: "One learns with a certain surprise that though Wiesel's sister Tzipora died in the camps, two other sisters survived. In the new edition, Wiesel doesn't mention them."
One thing that I always find odd is the little notice readers take of the apparently large degree of ordinary inmate transfers from camp to camp, obviously according to economic & similar needs, and often with Auschwitz functioning as a sort of turning plate...
What most people do not understand is the true nature of the Auschwitz-Birkenau
It was a very large industrial center, that had many workshops outside the
huge Buna-factory of the IG Monowitz plant.
It also doubled as a transition camp due to it's large facilities and the proximity
to the old german/russian demarcation line of 1939 and it's railheads.
As I have noted in an other thread, Auschwitz was not a playground.
Imagin a bad day in 1942 at the peak of the typhus epidemic, when 500
corpses would have to await cremation in the then uncompleted facilities.
That would have looked like a picture from hell,
and that is presicely what could have reared the roumors of 'mass
exterminations' in the premices.
Propaganda and wild imagination- together with previous Nazi rhetoric-took care of
That same sentence is in the book "Night" but it was about burning pits.
Pardon me, but it cannot be the same if it's not about the same.
Why haven't Wiesel's "pits" been excavated? It must be assumed that something is not kosher about these "pits".
