I frequently end up in a debate with various members of society,
and not rarely do they ask me to tell them who exactly denies/revises Holocaust, and who went to jail for doing so.
Although I do know SOME holocaust researchers from the "other (our)" side, I would like to know if possible, all of them.
So I can put together a list which speaks for itself. Of course the list would not be comprised of only researchers,
but various prominent figures who had spoken in public about Holocaust like Britain's Bishop Richard Williamson, for example.
So what I ask of you is that you share your knowledge of above mentioned topic, OR if the list does exist somewhere
(I failed to find it, as site revisionists.com provides revisionists which deal with wide spectrum of topics related to World War 2.)
simply paste the list/link here and you will have my gratitude and apology for being incapable of finding it on my own.
Other's include Ahmenadejad, World chess champion Bobby Fischer, Nick Griffin, and many others.
-- Herbert Spencer
are not holocaust revisionists. David Cole and Mark Weber
are no longer holocaust revisionists. Austin App was a
great guy but more a liability than an asset to the cause.
David McCalden was simply despicable as a person and
spent much time attacking holocaust revisionists.
Walter Sanning's name is missing.
and he gives the particulars of four cases.
It would be interesting to know more about those arrested in Germany, i.e. how many actually denied the holohoax, what specifically were they charged with, etc.
In addition to jail, fines have also been levied and careers ended.
Names of men imprisoned that come to mind include David Irving, Fred Leuchter, Germar Rudolf, Ernst Zuendel, Ditlieb Felderer, Fred Toeben, Hans Schmidt, Sylvia Stolz (honorary man), Wolfgang Fröhlich, Gerd Honsik, Horst Mahler.
I believe Juergen Graf decided to leave Switzerland rather than go to prison.
I am sure there are others that have eluded my memory at the moment.
Robert Faurisson has been fined by courts on several occasions and was severely beaten.
Leutcher lost his livelihood.
Wilhelm Staeglich had his pension revoked, if I remember correctly.
David Cole was also beaten and received death threats. He recanted and supposedly unrecanted.
Walter Lueftl, if I remember right, also had charges brought against him, but I don't remember the outcome.
If you want to go back to the beginning, Hitler is recorded to have told his inner circle that the extermination story was Allied black propaganda comparable to the stories spread about Germany in WWI and there was no truth to it. Himmler denied there was any extermination of the Jews in a magazine interview late in the war.
Alfred Rosenberg who was the Nazi administrator of occupied eastern territories stated at the IMT trial that there was no extermination of the Jews as described by the court.
Julius Streicher also stated at the IMT trial he didn't believe there was a Nazi program to kill the Jews.
Hermann Goering stated he was unaware the Jews were being murdered.
Go to the IMT trial transcripts and read their long forgotten testimony. I think the transcripts are on the net and can be searched.
My suggestion is: who is saying something is not as important as what they say. The easiest and laziest thing in the world is to dismiss an argument because of who is saying it or his assumed motives. Asking for a who list is a defense mechanism used when beliefs are being challenged. It is an attempt to escape discomfort.
The problem is people react emotionally when information that conflicts with beliefs is presented. The name for that is cognitive dissonance. In order to preserve the belief, the information is dismissed and the easiest way to do that is to dismiss its source as unreliable rather than investigating to verify the information itself.
A belief is an opinion that is anchored to an emotion. The believer treats is as a fact. Since most people try to avoid emotional upset, they are not going to take time and make an effort to prove a personal belief is erroneous.
A list of revisionists in a discussion, as far as I can see, can only be used as an appeal to authority to make a case. Question authority. Instead of a list of names of personalities, give them a reading list.
