How Did Hitler Die?

Postby JLAD Prove Me Wrong » 1 month 2 weeks ago (Tue Feb 23, 2021 11:19 am)

This thread has been moved to our WWII Europe Forum.

For all the talk about the holocaust, it seems as though discussion on the cause of death of Hitler is seldom mentioned. Which raises the question, how did Hitler die? Was he poisoned, or did he shoot himself?
If your beliefs cannot stand up to your own sincere scrutiny and skeptical evaluation, they are not worth having.

Did he do either??? How do you know he died at the end of the war? The one thing that is certain about Hitler's claimed death is that they never found the body. All very strange me thinks because if either side (Russia or Allies) had his remains they would have publicised the fact to the nth degree.

My opinion is that if he killed himself the bunker officers had a pretty sophisticated plan to dispose of it (most unlikely) or he escaped Berlin but died elsewhere fairly soon thereafter

You must understand that Adolf Hitler was a multimillionaire. Martin Bormann was genius when it comes to making money. He basically made brand out of Hitler and money was pouring like crazy on their many accounts (under fake names) in Switzerland.

Official story of his death is dumb as it is story about gas chambers. We can't know for sure, but my best bet is Argentina via submarine where he lived until he died naturally.

And how long would that have actually been? Hitler had serious health problems. He was prescribed meth, opiates, and cocaine. He had serious digestion issues as well. I don't think anyone on this forum could possibly comprehend the extreme level of stress Hitler felt on a daily basis after Operation Barbarossa had essentially failed.

Borjasick:

And he certainly would have wanted it that way. Just days before Hitler committed suicide, he heard news that Mussolini was captured and his body (along with his mistress's) was hung upside down in a town square where all sorts of people beat, threw trash, and shot at the bodies.
HItler knew the exact same thing would have happened to him. Not to mention the unprecedented level of anguish he must have been feeling. Just imagine working as hard as he could to promote the best possible future for the German people, only to have it completely taken away, half-conquered by the USSR, and nearly half of the German male population dead or seriously wounded.

Really, why would Hitler have even wanted to live to see a post-WWII Europe?

People with serious health issues can live for quite some time. My grandmother is almost 90 years old and she had 8 surgeries. Still alive and can take care of herself mostly. It would not be miracle if he lived 10-15 years more.

Yes, I understand that he was tormented, and it must have been hell. Can't even imagine. But still there is some chance that he indeed lived. I also understand that I don't have any kind of proof of this. I only imagine this because official story of his death, and evidence for it, is ridiculous.

I often wonder how Dr. Mengele felt listening to all those stories about himself. Also, I understand that there was no chance of him going to court and winning the case, but is there anything he said anywhere except that thing with his son?

It really is enormous tragedy what happened in Germany, and I feel to this day like huge burden is on them. I wonder what is like to be growing up being German and believing all that stuff about gas chambers.

Hitler had Parkinson's by the end as well.

The stories about Hitler fleeing to south America were spread the Soviet Union to exacerbate the myth of a shadowy 'Fascist' enemy. This was deliberate policy, I would think born of Stalin's paranoia. Perhaps he was convinced that Hitler was still alive looking to plot his downfall from the shadows - which kind of happened, because Stalin had a stroke in May 1945, and a severe heart attack in October of the same year. The slow burn of Operation Barbarossa eventually killed him in 1953.

The truth is Hitler died on April 30th, 1945. He went down with Berlin just like he said he wanted to in the hopes of peace being brokered with a new government, because he knew no peace could be made while he was still in power. The Allies simply wouldn't have accepted it.

Otto Günsche - who was loyal to Hitler until he died in 2003 - confirmed Hitler was dead and burned his body in the courtyard of the Reich Chancellery surrounded by others who were also loyal until the end. I see no reason to lie about this, or to pretend Hitler escaped which only serves to make Hitler look like a coward.
Now what does it mean for the independent expert witness Van Pelt? In his eyes he had two possibilities. Either to confirm the Holocaust story, or to go insane. - Germar Rudolf, 13th IHR Conference.

If memory serves me well, I recall that noted German test pilot Hanna Reitsch participated in a mission in Berlin in April of 1945 with the intent of rescuing Hitler, before Hitler then refused rescue and insisted on staying behind in his bunker. Of course, I could be completely off however or jumping to conclusions based on stories I've heard and read.

While such a theory is not completely impossible, (as there were many elements in the Argentine government that were still sympathetic to Germany and there were two U-boats that have been confirmed to have escaped to Argentina at the end of the war) I still find it quite doubtful.

Knowing the current government of Argentina, they would have almost certainly released the documentation relating to this by now if it hasn't been lost or destroyed, and hoards of alleged "Nazi buried treasure" in Argentina have been proven to be composed of fakes and replicas.

While I'm not a German myself, I did attend German language classes in high school. With the exception of Bavarians, Germans in contemporary times have a tendency to be ashamed, embarrassed, or offended by their own cultural heritage, even if unconsciously so, and to such a degree that even waving modern black-yellow-and-red flags outside of holidays and sports events can easily be frowned upon.

In some states, waving an Imperial flag can get one arrested, and of course, we all know the penalty for flying an NSDAP flag. The only reason that the same cannot be said about Austrians is because they have been equally as indoctrinated into believing that they are a separate people from Germans. As one could assume, the class material we received about National Socialism and what life was like in Germany during that time was utter nonsense, and I recognized it as such even back then.

I believe he was taken to South America on U-977, but I'm probably the only person who believes that.

He absolutely wouldn't have wanted to, and he didn't.

Hitler’s anguished staff realised that he intended to remain in Berlin and brave the coming storm. Goebbels, Bormann, and Jodl begged him to reconsider. Dönitz and Himmler telephoned; Keitel cornered Hitler alone but was interrupted almost at once.

‘I know what you’re going to say: It’s time to take a real decision, a Ganzer Entschluss! I’ve taken it already. I’m going to defend Berlin to the bitter end. Either I restore my command here in the capital – assuming Wenck keeps the Americans off my back and throws them back over the Elbe – or I go down here in Berlin with my troops fighting for the symbol of the Reich.’

[...]

Besides, as he told Field Marshal Schörner, his (Hitler's) death might remove the last obstacle preventing the Allies from making common cause with Germany.

[...]

He (Hitler) dictated to Ribbentrop four secret negotiation points to put to the British if he got the chance. If the Continent was to survive in a world dominated by Bolshevism, then somehow London and Berlin must bury the hatchet. He instructed Ribbentrop to write secretly to Churchill in this sense. ‘You will see,’ Hitler predicted. ‘My spirit will arise from the grave. One day people will see that I was right.’

David Irving, Hitler's War and the War Path (Focal Point Publications, Millennium Edition, 2002), Pp. 820, 821, 823.

Members of his inner circle practically begged him to flee Berlin with them, but he refused every time.

Well us Revisionists cannot have it both ways. We claim it is impossible to burn corpses at mass murder sites in the open and leave no traces as claimed by the jews, but yet want to believe Hitler was burned to an unidentifiable crisp in the back yard of the bunker building and no evidence of such an event was ever found. Doesn't make sense.

Ok, after reading what all of you has to say I am now somewhere in the middle. It really just depends on what kind of person he really was. He had a chance to escape.

One thing that is interesting to me is that none of those that did escape have done anything. I mean, Dr. Mengele lived for quite some time. Why not take camera and record yourself and just send it to public somehow? Maybe his son didn't believe him but many would. At least it would be something.

Is that even a proper comparison? The remains of one corpse, two if we count Eva Braun, is certainly not the remains of an alleged millions.
While I am by no means an expert on Hitler's death, we must admit that the tabloid-like stories of Hitler scampering off to South America are entertaining to contemplate.

We did find this:

Hitler's Escape
There always have been doubts as to Hitler's alleged suicide in his bunker in Berlin on April 30, 1945. The most authoritarian doubter was the Russian Dictator Joseph Stalin who was convinced that Hitler escaped to Spain in April of 1945.

We now have a serious and well researched book by H. D. Baumann and Ron T. Hansig entitled "Hitler's Escape" in which he makes a very convincing case that Stalin was correct in his statements to his western Allies in 1945, telling them that Hitler (and Eva Braun) were still alive. One of the authors' startling revelations is, that the man present in the last days of April inside the bunker was, in reality, a double of Hitler. There even is a photograph of the corpse of the double taken by Russian investigators.

Hitler's death, at the end of World War II, assumed to be by his own hand, remains unproven. This assumption was the result of, what many conceive as, a conspiracy by the Western Powers, bowing to political pressures and to fight nazism, to come up with Hitler's suicide story. This then would explain Hitler's disappearance from Nazi Germany after Germany's defeat.

Even if one takes the years later submitted Russian report on Hitler's autopsy at face value, there still remains the fact that there was no trace of the corpse of Eva Braun, Hitler's mistress and later wife. This alone disproves the double-suicide theory now part of German history.

Based on the well-documented revelations, this book can rightfully be called "the biggest detective story of the twentieth century".

Introduction
Adolf Hitler
When considering the fate of the German Dictator Adolf Hitler, one has to realize that the overwhelming majority of my readers believe that he committed suicide during the last days of the Second World War. This view is supported by dozens of books written by among others, world-renowned historians. Their views and conclusions are seemingly well supported by circumstances and eye witness accounts. Just the consideration that there may be another, darker side to the story makes us, to say it mildly, emotionally uneasy. Just the thought that such a man responsible for the murder of millions, might have escaped unscathed from the rubble of Berlin in 1945 seems hard to swallow.

Yet, as we shall see, there is sufficient evidence in this book, some from recent Russian sources, to at least consider the possibility that Hitler, together with Eva Braun, fled from Berlin on April 22nd, 1945. This book is not another conspiracy theory using unsupported guesses about mysterious Hitler's sightings or saying, for example, that the real Hitler died but his double escaped. Quite to the contrary. All given statements are fully supported by well accepted witness reports and other written evidence. Consider this part of the evidence:

The Gestapo chief Heinrich Mueller told his US CIC interrogators in 1948, that he arranged Hitler's escape from Berlin and that Hitler together with Eva Braun flew to Barcelona, Spain on April 26th, 1945.
Soviet Marshall J. Stalin in 1945 told many Allied Leaders that Hitler escaped from Berlin.
There never was an identifiable corpse of Adolf Hitler nor of Eva Braun.
The whole suicide story of Hitler rests solely on the concocted testimony of four fanatical Nazis.
The Russians found the buried (and un-burned) corpse of the double of Adolf Hitler near the bunker.

This picture of Hitler's supposed dead double shows the face intact. But it's claimed that Hitler gave orders to have his body burned. So why the intact face? Shouldn't it be charred to the bone?
