Can anyone help?

Postby simon1003 » 1 decade 4 years ago (Sat Jan 28, 2006 2:14 pm)

There was a photo posted here a while ago, it showed two young men kneeling and about to be executed by a Soviet officer, it was after the war had ended.

I can't find it anywhere, help appreciated.

I think the picture you are looking for might be one of a postwar execution at Sachsenhausen when the Soviets ran it as a prison/death camp for German prisioners.

As I recall they executed about 15000 people there and the camp was in use for this purpose until about 1950.

I think the picture is on the internet, possibly at scrapbook pages I know they have a section on the mass graves at Sachsenhausen created by the Soviets in the postwar period.

Hope this helps
