In the ruins of KII or KIII, did anyone notice if there was remnants of the upstairs loft, above the main floor of the crematoria? Mueller claimed that there was an upstairs loft with a cobblestone floor which was directly above the ovens where the washed hair of the dead was laid down to dry before packaging. Also, Nyiszli said he lived in an upstairs loft as well.
I didnt notice anything of the sort. Although I mainly focused on looking at the ruins of Krema II morgue 1 (alleged 'gas chamber'), so I didnt much pay attention to other parts of Krema II ruins. Mostly I looked for prussian blue and the holes in the morgue 1 roof, and of course neither were there.
All in all, the camp wasnt "scary" or depressing at all, when you go around there without the horror music in youtube videos. The camp was exactly what it seemed when one goes around there by himself and looks around objectively: a labor and concentration camp. That's it. However, the camp certainly was interesting. I spent 4 days in the camps, 2 days in the main camp and 2 days in Birkenau.
