Barack Obama's campaign said Tuesday the candidate mistakenly referred to the wrong Nazi death camp when relating the story of a great uncle who helped liberate the camps in World War II.

The Democratic presidential candidate said the story is accurate except that the camp was Buchenwald, not Auschwitz.

now according to that "Beacon of Truth" the Washington post, the actual camp liberated was Ohrdruf, a Subcamp of Buchenwald,the first such camp to be liberated on April 4

I would not be in favor of making fun at Obama for his story. For one, Psyche Warfare lied to American troops just like they did to the Germans. American troops who believed their own side represented to the truth.

The mistake with Auschwitz is something anyone who doesn't study the subject could make.

There were emaciated people there, and dead bodies, but the dead bodies were most likely a result of the American soldiers giving them too much food too fast, and as the movie "Buchenwald" showed, that's likely what killed them.

I don't have any scorn at Obama saying what he did. The scorn I have is for Psyche Warfare lying to everyone.

The mistake with Auschwitz is something anyone who doesn't study the subject could make.

Maybe a head of state (a proxy one for Israel) should look into the subject matter before opening his big mouth. Or do you think he was trying to appease his Jewish handlers?

Let us hope his knowledge and attitude to foreign policy and affairs of state are better researched.
