World War II Aerial Reconnaissance Photos Go Online !!

Postby Hannover » 1 decade 6 years ago (Sun Jan 18, 2004 5:34 am)

Notice that the alleged & absurd 'gas chambers' are neither mentioned nor shown. There's no smoke from the crematoriums as described...'blackening the sky'. The smoke from the alleged "mass funeral pits" does not look very massive, but the storyline goes that 500,000 were cremated in these pits...and ofcourse there is no forensic physical evidence to back that story up.
Let's see what more the mentioned new website site presents.

LONDON - A huge British archive of World War II aerial reconnaissance photos, including pictures of the D-Day landings in Normandy, is to go on the Internet on Monday.

Under the digitalization project announced Saturday, some 5 million Royal Air Force photos of Western Europe will be available to the public on the Web site www.evidenceincamera.co.uk., archivists said. The site did not appear to be accessible on Saturday.

"These images allow us to see the real war at first hand — as if we are RAF pilots," said Allan Williams, head of the Aerial Reconnaissance Archives project at Keele University in north-central England.

The photos, a key source of intelligence for Allied commanders during the war, include American troops landing in Normandy on D-Day, the effects of the bombing of Cologne, Germany, and the German battleship Bismarck being hunted by the Royal Navy.

The pictures were transferred to Keele University in 1962 from the Allied Central Interpretation Unit, where wartime analysts studied the material collected by reconnaissance crews. The collection is the property of the national Public Records Office on permanent loan to the university.

Before the digitalization, using the photo archive had meant a manual search through thousands of boxes.

The Aerial Reconnaissance Archives, known as TARA, expects later to release of 2.5 million Luftwaffe German air force reconnaissance photographs of Eastern Europe seized by the Allies at the end of the war.

A hand out photograph dated August 23, 1944 and received on January 17, 2004 from the Aerial Reconnaissance Archives (TARA) at Keele University in north west England, shows clouds of smoke coming from the Auschwitz concentration camp during the final months of World War Two. The image, which shows the burning of mass funeral pits, is one of more than five million RAF (Royal Air Force) aerial photographs used by Allied commanders to help devise their strategy during the six-year conflict due to be made publicly available on the internet on Monday.
If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

Yes, I saw that item on the TV news. Some points:

1. Body-burning this late in the war? I thought that the Nazis had knocked off all their six million by then, and cremated the lot. I suppose the inhuman monsters had to squeeze a few more in...

2. The TV news said that the photo showed the massive crowds of people still massed in Auschwitz. Now, that in itself refutes the Holocaust: nothing else need be said.

If the Holocaust had occurred, the camp would be empty: after all, four million people had died there by the end of the war.

3. Which Auschwitz is it? Birkenau or the main one?

Rupert.

This photo is important for both its contents and its date. Although the Auschwitz Chronicle does not list any incoming transports for August 23 1944, the previous day records the arrival of a transport of Jews from Lodz and one from Mauthausen. The camp is known to have been extremely overcrowded at this time.

There is a famous August 25 aerial photo, one of a series made public by the CIA in 1979, which provides the best resolution shots of Krema II and III, including, apparently, Zyklon B inlet hatches and security fences. It is to be hoped that this new photo (perhaps there are others) allows for suitable magnification to compare whether the inlets are similarly apparent.

August 25 photo enlargement:

http://www.holocaust-history.org/auschw ... 17-017.jpg

The new picture also includes the area of Krema IV and V which is absent from the August 25 shot. From the naked eye, Krema IV, thought to have been out of action at this time, is surrounded by a security fence of some description. It is difficult to pinpoint exactly where the smoke in the region of Krema V is billowing from. Also to determine whether its apparent security fence extends around to the north of the crematorium, to the region where mass burnings are said to have occurred, as depicted in the following 'spaghetti body' photo supposedly taken in the same month, August 1944:

Aww, that's not serious. Photos can be so easily faked, you know... Especially in this computer age.

Let's not be too quick throwing around accusations of forgery and tampering. Bear in mind Mr. Rudolf's call for "cautious mainstream revisionism".

We note the new photo carries the frame number 3084 with mission number 60PR68660SQDN. The other information apparently relates to the date, time, and plane altitude.

Compare with a frame from August 25 which has a correspondingly later mission number 60PR69460SQ, flown by the 15th US Army Air Force:

Illustration 14: An enlargement of illustration 13, in G. Schoenberner, op. cit. (Note [39]), p. 162. The left arm of the man stepping over the supposed bodies is far too long and seems to have two elbows. What is more, the bodies lying on the ground are not only in very poor focus but also anatomically impossible.

Hebden's diabolically drawn in, three armed midget people with 8" necks photo.

Too see more distgustingly blatant H-Industry forgeries, take a look here:

___________________________________________________________

As too the subject of the initial post. Obviously the British high command thought these aerial photo's very innocent and of no consequence. Because they never bombed the camps, because 'they saw no need to'
according to 'The World at War' series. (Which I might add, the H-Industry is trying to sue America for. Or have they already sued them ?)

There is some smoke coming from the Chimney !! Well what do you expect to come out of Chimney's ? No-one has ever attempted to deny that they were not used for the purpose that they were designed, like any Chimney would be.

The photo certainly highlights the hideous lies of statements such as ' Twenty foot flames shooting out the top' (Your Chimney's on fire mate !) and 'The skies were black for months'

Of course there were deaths at Auschwitz (mainly from disease) so obviously the Chimney's would be used...Big deal.

Yes, Germar Rudolf if right. But how can we trust anything coming from "official sources", especially now, when even kids can draw realistic pictures with Photoshop?

What were they photographing?

Seems to me the associated documentation would be more inportant then the photo. Was the camp itself an intelligence target in August '44? If so, why? If not, how was the picture taken - by "accident", as the other ones were?

If Auschwitz/Birkenau per se was an area of interest for intelligence - Arthur Butz thinks it was - then what other timely information was derived from those sources, and where is it now?

Good question is why Allies did not bomb Auschwitz.

Something from Professor Rubinstein's book The Myth of Rescue may be in order. Although the author is a fully fledged exterminationist, the book is an exemplary critique of the position that the Allies could/should have done more to save the lives of Jews. He devotes an entire chapter to 'The Myth of Bombing Auschwitz'. Here's a pertinent excerpt:

It is often noted that American heavy bombers were carrying out raids at this time on industrial targets only a few miles away from the Auschwitz gas chambers, an observation made over and over again in the literature of 'rescue' which criticises the Allies. This point is, however, extremely misleading, regardless of how often it has been repeated. All such strategic raids on military-industrial bases proceeded only after months of preparatory intelligence work, entailing the creation of a target folder with specific information about the size, hardness, structure placement, defences and so on, of the target and detailed aerial photography. However, the United States Air Force totally lacked the intelligence base necessary to plan and execute a bombing raid against the Auschwitz extermination camp. This information - even if such a raid were enthusiastically endorsed at the most senior military levels - could simply not have been procured for months.

It would have been difficult enough to effect in the best of circumstances, but it would have been especially difficult in the late autumn-wwinter of 1944-5, and bearing in mind (as will be discussed) that the essential aims of bombing an extermination camp are entirely different from bombing an industrial plant. Furthermore, as Dr James H. Kitchens has remarked, the raid itself would also required perfect weather, since the bombing would have to be carried out visually. "I leave you to ponder how frequently such perfect weather occurred over southern Poland; how accurately such weather in the interior of Europe could have been predicted from southern Italy given 1944 state of the art; and how many abortive raids might have been launched before the necessary meteorological conditions materialised over the targets", Dr Kitchens has added. Self-evidently, it is exceedingly doubtful, starting from scratch in November 1944, whether any such bombing raids could have been accomplished before the Soviet army liberated Auschwitz on 27 January 1945.

It is also often contended that at least a part of the target information necessary for a bombing raid on Auschwitz did indeed already exist, namely aerial photographs of Auschwitz taken by Allied air reconnaissance missions. This claim, so often repeated, is also entirely misleading and ought to be examined with some care.

What are probably the best-known and most widely publicised aerial phototgraphs of Auschwitz were taken by an Allied air crew on 25 August 1944. These have been published and republished, generally as enlargements, during the past two decades. Even now, few apart from specialist historians realise that these aerial photographs remained in negative form until 1978, and were not seen by anyone until 1978-9. In 1978, two American historians of aerial photography in the Second World War, Dino A. Brugioni and Robert Poirier, discovered these undeveloped films while researching in government photographic intelligence files. As a result of publicity generated by the American television series The Holocaust, American aerial photograph analysts were given permission to use modern microstereoscopes to reexamine precise photographic enlargements of the original films. It was these enlarged, cropped and newly captioned photographs which were published and republished in the press. They had never been seen before. Especially poignant is the overhead enlargement of several columns of prisoners, captioned 'Group on Way to Gas Chambers', which has been frequently reprinted.

There is no evidence that these photographs were seen by anybody before 1978, let alone by trained photointelligence officers during the war who realised their significance. Indeed, no one could have seen the columns of prisoners on the way to the gas chambers because no aerial imagery photoenlargement techniques available in 1944 could have spotted those columns. As Colonel Roy M. Stanley II noted in his work World War II Photo Intelligence:

A report based on postwar ground information that no World War II P.I. [Photo Interpreter] had available, on modern enlargements that no World War II photo lab could have made, and all of the postwar sophistication devloped in the P.I. trade could unintentionally mislead the layman. Because of their advantages, this 1978 photo analysis contains an understanding and correlation of what was happening on the ground that would have been impossible for a 1945 vintage interpreter.

Moreover, no one ever asked the Allied photointelligence operatives to search for extermination camps. This failing was not the result of some anti-semitic cover-up (as well might be alleged by adherents of the proposition that rescue was possible) :no Jewish individual or group recommended a search by photographic specialists, and nor did the War Refugee Board. This failure arose simply from the nature of the tasks and priorities assigned to Allied photography interpreters in the context of the European war situation in 1944.

By dint of these arguments, we're of the opinion that revisionist attempts to explain the failure to bomb Auschwitz-Birkenau in terms of Allied disbelief in their own propaganda are misconceived.

The nearby Monowitz (Auschwitz III) industrial complex. On September 13 1944 a mission to bomb Monowitz accidentally resulted in bombs falling on both the Auschwitz main camp and Birkenau (Auschwitz II).

Here is what the Chronicle reports on this day:

The I.G. Farben works in Dwory near Auschwitz are bombed for thirteen minutes, from 11.17 to 11.30 am. The squadron, which consists of 96 bombers of the model Liberator, encounters no German airplanes but is met by strong artillery defese, which shoots down three bombers. Just as in the case of the air attacks conducted previously, again no attempt is made to destroy the extermination installations in Birkenau.

The airplane squadron drops 1,000 bombs from an altitude of about 23,000 feet. Several fall on the compound of Auschwitz I. In the camp expansion area, four residential blocks of the SS, the clothing workshops, and half of block 6 - where female prisoners who work in the SS offices in the main camp live - are destroyed. 15 SS men die in the SS residential blocks and 28 are seriously wounded. In Block 6, a female prisoner is killed and many are injured. 40 prisoners, 23 Jews among them, are killed in the workshops: 55 are seriously injured and 13 are still buried in the rubble. Two bombs fall in Auschwitz II. One damages the railroad embankment and the connecting track to the crematoriums; the second destroys a dugout between the tracks, killing 30 civilian workers.

The bombs cause property damage in the I.G. Farben works by destroying part of the factory installations. The number of those killed and injured is approximately 300, among them prisoners who work there.

This September 13 photo shows falling bombs, 2 or more of which presumably strike Birkenau:

It's amazing how Believers continue to insist upon the gas chambers claim even though the photos have clearly been tampered with (see links in the 1st post of this thread*) and do not reveal what we're told should be seen.

That statement doesn't make sense in that we know there was plenty of assertions about 'gas chambers', they obviously made over-flights, took photos and still did nothing. Are we to believe, as the irrational Prof. Rubenstein claims, that the Allies took these photos at great expense and risk and then never looked at them. Simply absurd.

There were no gas chambers and there is no rational argument that can be made to sustain the false claims.

It's true we're a diabolical drawer but we plead not guilty to this one. There's a world of difference from accusing Polish Communists of composing this highly suspect photo and charging the British with faking the aerial photo.

There is some smoke coming from the Chimney !! Well what do you expect to come out of Chimney's ? No-one has ever attempted to deny that they were not used for the purpose that they were designed, like any Chimney would be.

We don't think the smoke is coming from the crematorium itself but we take your point that chimneys have a habit of smoking. Even if the smoke is coming from the chimney at the left end of the building, this, to our knowledge, was not one of the oven chimneys but was connected to a stove/heater in one of the alleged gas chambers.

The photo certainly highlights the hideous lies of statements such as ' Twenty foot flames shooting out the top' (Your Chimney's on fire mate !) and 'The skies were black for months'.

One might, if one were so inclined, say the flaming chimneys are a classic intertextual motif engendered by mass suggestion.

Under the digitalization project announced Saturday, some 5 million Royal Air Force photos

And putting Hebden's diverting waffle aside, the sad fact of the matter is. Even though another vast pool of subject material is now available. Not a single one of these photo's will capture a single instance of any open-air mass funeral pyres, nor will they show any sign of the collosal pits and utter mayhem that must have reigned in these camps during this supposed mammoth undertaking. Even though it was broad daylight and open-air, it must have been covert operations all round...Clever Germans.

It's true we're a diabolical drawer but we plead not guilty to this one. There's a world of difference from accusing Polish Communists of composing this highly suspect photo and charging the British with faking the aerial photo.

I cannot remember implying the British faking this photo. On the contary, it seems very real, and I might add it speaks for itself, i.e 'Not a lot happening down there'. Another photo of Auschwitz, when oddly nothing very much was happening !

Unless you watch the BBC series 'The World at War' episode 'Genocide'. And you listen to former British members of parliament (Lord Booth being one of them) explaining how during the war Polish/Jewish underground groups had been smuggling photo's out of the camps and suggesting that the Jews were being murdered, en masse.
They even showed the supposed photo's that had been smuggled out.

But like me, the British intelligence thought it all second rate forgeries, and lies and did not follow it up. Especially as none of the RAF aerial reconnaissance photos showed nothing to substantiate their ludicrous suggestions.

Come to think of it, it's not amazing at all. They are Believers, after all!!

Or carefully conditioned morons ! Saddam's WMD'S....Who said that ????

You have too laugh at this rubbish about not being able to look at aerial reconnaissance photos during the war. One has too ask, why they would bother taking them if they were to serve no purpose until 1978 ?

Makes you wonder how they could read aerial reconnaissance photos of Armoured columns and troop movements perfectly well, but not any related to the H-Industry. Don't tell me the skies were black for months.
