On 18 September 2008, in a MDR Fernsehen documentary, "Meine Mutter und die Nazis", the Yiddish singer Myriam Fuks accused her (late) mother, the actress Frania Glassmann, of having lied about an alleged stay she made in a German concentration camp, where her first daughter (the half sister of Myriam Fucks) allegedly was born.
A shortened version of this documentary can be viewed on YouTube (title : "Myriam Fuks - Meine Mutter hat uns belogen,,") here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru0KxJHSS94
At 1:01, she says that her mother was registered as a Holocaust survivor in every official document.
Fom 5:20, she tells that after her mother's death, she found in her papers the proof that the first daughter was born during the war in Benshausen, a quiet German village where the mother had an affair with a German soldier during the war.
The documentary (with title "MEINE MUTTER WAR EINE LÜGNERIN. SIE WAR NIE IN EINEM KZ !") can also be viewed here : http://www.tvplayvideos.com/1,7EnbgkxY8 ... -EINEM-KZ-!
There is an article "Fuks, Myriam" on the German Metapedia : http://de.metapedia.org/wiki/Fuks,_Myriam
Myriam Fucks wrote a book "Un jour je me suis rencontrée" about her quest after her mother's death (my source : http://www.corinnebisseliches.com/produ ... product=10 )
There is a film about her discovery of her mother's lies : "Cutting the cord", by Daniel Syrkin, Germany / Israel / Belgium, 2005 - See more at: http://www.idfa.nl/industry/tags/projec ... oYNeY.dpuf
If it exists, someone there will have it.
a quiet German village where the mother had an affair with a German soldier during the war.
Damn, now thats something.
2° I wrote the name "Fuks" incorrectly in the sentence "Myriam Fuks wrote a book..." of my preceding post. Of course, I don't ask for the correction of all my misspellings, but this one is unfortunate. If anybody could correct, it would be nice...
