Eight “Nazi criminals” who worked in Stutthof as typists and guards charged with accessory to murder

Eight suspected Nazi criminals tracked down

Experts have identified several men and women who worked in the concentration camp Stutthof. Nationwide several prosecutors take over the investigation.

August 9, 2016

German investigators have come across eight suspected Nazi criminals. The Central Office for the Investigation of National Socialist Crimes in Ludwigsburg has handed over preliminary investigations regarding murder in thousands of cases to various nationwide prosecutors. “There are four men and four women that worked in the German concentration camp Stutthof,” said the head of the investigating authority, Jens Rommel, in Stuttgart.

The men had worked as security guards, the women as typist, telephone operator or telephone mediator, said the Chief Public Prosecutor. Furthermore, the Ludwigsburg experts are looking for more potential suspects, who were active in the camps Bergen-Belsen and Neuengamme. Also the preliminary investigations regarding the Nazi extermination camps Auschwitz and Majdanek are to be continued. The charge is said to be accessory to murder.

[...]

The Chief Prosecutor hopes that the Federal Supreme Court, starting with the case of Groening, changes its attitude going back to the year 1969. Back then, according to the judges, just any integration in the concentration camp Auschwitz wasn’t enough for a conviction for aiding and abetting murder. For the Ludwigsburg investigators anyone who “has objectively encouraged or facilitated” the mass murders is deemed as an assistant.

Discouraging. Now they are including camps like Bergen-Belson. Why did they wait so long? The accused are in their 90's.

What's next. Prosecution of children, grandchildren and pets. What would a typist have done?

And thereby proving that all you did do wrong was being within the apparatus of the "wrong" state during the war.

In their 90s - I wonder what they're going to do when those frail old people have all died.

They need that extra amount of guilt and shame so people don’t get angry at the so called refugees and don’t vote for alternative parties in the upcoming elections in 2017. They changed the law in 2011 because they ran out of people were they could at least prove their guilt in some kind of formally correct way, so now they simply charge people who were present in those camps.

So will they be giving a list of the names of people who these four poor souls are accused of helping murdering?

What I am surprised of is that the defense council won't dare asking for such a pesky little detail.

Because, it's a valid question. No victim, no murder, no conviction.

But they're busy with so much assuming of "Obviousness" of the crime and abstracting what supposedly happened, that they may just have forgotten about it.

From a pure juristic point of view it is highly dubious what they're doing. People used to otherwise properly functioning courts may be starting to think. But then it seems they're doing exactly what they're accusing their grand parent generation of.

Another trial where they take 'judicial notice.'

Sorry, no gas chambers at Stutthof.
