German Expansionist Map from 1938?

Postby Hektor » 2 months 2 days ago (Wed Jun 13, 2018 6:44 pm)

On wikipedia I found a claim that the following map:

.... was distributed in 1938 in Czechoslovakia:
Map showing Nazi German plans, given to Sudeten Germans during the Sudeten Crisis as part of an intimidation process. Re-published in the British socialist newspaper Daily Worker on 29 October 1938.

I haven't checked the Daily Worker of that date. But would appreciate, if someone with access could perhaps help out.
I searched a bit further and found the following:

From this article:

My question would be, where this map would really be coming from? A propaganda ploy?

The source, Wikipedia, is hardly credible, i.e.:

If it can't happen as alleged, then it didn't.

Yes, amongst all the pushes for peace and concession of the treaty of Versailles- even IF German world conquest initiative was true (which it demonstrably is false)- what better way to assure the world of your good intentions than to distribute maps throughout a hostile state about you wanting to conquer all of Europe and half of Asia..

Brilliant strategic move! LOL

If anyone wants to see who had already 'conquered the world' they can simply look at a very real 1938 world map.

Rather like all those cheesy & fake 'holocaust atrocity pictures' that are allged to have been taken by the Germans in the war.

As if the Germans would have permitted taking pictures of alleged 'top secret extermination actions' that would incriminated themselves IF the bogus claims of '6M Jews & 5M others' were true.

'O, what a tangled web they weave when first they practice to deceive.'

It was a move at the time to tell the European Nations that Germany wants to conquer them. That way those nations were turned AGAINST Germany, increasing hostilities and creating a climate for war.

To the educated public it was clear that Germany wanted to restore from the injustices done to it through the Versailles Treaty. And they mostly found that a just cause. The thing is, that once you have a world war, you got to take up the offensive, if you are in the weaker position. That was the case for Germany for several reasons. The geographic position and the numbers being the first and foremost conditions. And then there is the issue that several previously neutral countries fell into the Allied camp or that there were reasons to believe so (e.g. Norway).
