Genetic study on Jewish ancestry - An answer to "Where all the Jews went?"

Postby Spect3r » 6 days 2 hours ago (Mon Dec 02, 2019 12:39 pm)

We all have heard the "so if the Nazis didnt kill all thous Jews, where did they went"?
I think that the following study goes a long way to explain that.

"New Study by MyHeritage Reveals that Hungary Has the World’s Second Largest Percentage of Population with Jewish Ancestry"
https://blog.myheritage.com/2019/08/hun ... yheritage/

Hungary’s lead grows further at lower thresholds for Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity. 12.5% of the people tested in Hungary have 10% or more Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity, compared to only 4.7% of people in the USA and 4.0% in Canada. Meanwhile, 4.2% of people tested in Hungary have 50% or more Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity (equivalent to having at least one parent who is fully Jewish), compared to 2.3% in the USA.

This is significantly higher than some recent estimates. Official statistics set the number of Jews in Hungary at only 10,965, according to the 2013 national census. Alternative estimates, such as the estimate produced by Professor Sergio DellaPergola, show that the number of people in Hungary who self-identify as Jews — for example, when asked in a survey — comes to 47,500 people or 0.49% of the population.

The figures shown in the study are consistent with the expected number when it comes to the other countries, its only to Russia and Hungary that the numbers are incredibly higher than the ones previous believed.
So, where did all the jews went? They went exactly where Hitler said he was gonna put them, to the East/Soviet territory

From Solzhenitsyn's book:
The wartime tension in the attitudes toward Jews was also manifested during post-war re-evacuation. In Siberia and Central Asia, wartime Jewish refugees were not welcomed by the local populace, so after the war they mostly settled in the capitals of Central Asian republics, except for those who moved back, not to their old shtetls and towns, but into the larger cities.
Jewish Evacuations by the USSR during WWII (from Solzhenitsyn's 200YT)

Well we do know some Jews after WWII just stopped identifying as Jewish. But this genetic information does not answer the question of where Jews went during/after WWII unless we can show that the admixture in Hungarians is from the post-WWII period, and not from Jews who assimilated before WWII broke out.
"There is a principal which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance -- that principal is contempt prior to investigation."

Many people of Central Asia migrated to Russia, and Siberia its Russia, so they are not opposite ideas to each other.

I agree with you.
I probably didnt gave the best title to this thread, but, the idea is that studying genetic ascendency/descendency can be a way to prove the idea that the prisoners sent to the East that never returned, is not because they were killed but because they stayed there after the war ended.
